The PodCamp Events section has been updated. PodCamp Boston 3 and PodCamp EDU 2 have been added to the list.

There are 2 definite and 4 possible PodCamps scheduled between now and the New Media Expo this August.

Events

Podcast and New Media events are a great opportunity to learn about and promote your podcast or new media business. There are many types of events to choose from depending if you are a podcaster, an avid listener/viewer, or just someone interested in podcasting.

Did someone say Expo?

The blog, podcast and new media expos provide something for everyone. Expos allow many of the businesses in the space a chance to demonstrate their products and services. Many well known podcasters and bloggers make appearances and some host sessions and classes. The expos tend to attract many fans and followers as well. [more]

PodCamp, what?

PodCamp is a BarCamp inspired event for podcasters and bloggers to meet and learn from each other. Each PodCamp varies but typically they include tables for sponsors to hand out swag, a commons area for socializing throughout the day and plenty of 1 hour sessions where bloggers and podcasters talk about specific topics. Meet-Up!

Podcasting meet-ups are locally planned events. A meet-up can be formed for a varity of purposes. Typically they serve a purpose for podcasters, but occasionally meet-ups are used as a way for podcasters to connect with their audiences. [more]

Other Events

Other events exist as well, such as the Podcasters Across Borders which is held annually in Canada. These other events are podcaster focused but are not labeled as PodCamps.  more
