iTunes

Oh how we love iTunes, The beast that put podcasting on the map. There's no doubt , if it weren't for Apple iTunes, podcasting would not be where it is today. After integrating podcasting into iTunes in July 2005, it has been a great one-stop-shop for podcasts especially for iPod users. With that being said what exactly is iTunes? Ultimately iTunes is the computer software necessary for syncing up audio and video content from a computer desktop to an iPod.

iTunes, a free download, allows users to browse thousands of podcasts via its iTunes directory and subscribe to them all within the application. Itunes also allows one to subscribe to and consume a podcast with out having an iPod. You can play the media directly from iTunes. unfortunately if you own a non apple mp3 player such as a Creative Zen or a Microsoft Zune you can not sync it with iTunes.
